The Central Bureau of Statistics today publishes the data on the first names given to those born in 2022 in Israel, the most common name among Jewish boys is David, which 1,710 children were named, followed by Ariel and Levi. Among the Jewish girls, the most common name is Abigail in which 1,284 girls were named, followed by Tamar and Ayala.

The most common name among girls in the city is Sarah - 132 girls were named with this name, 5.1% of the total number of births in 2022, followed by Hana (103), Esther (98), Chaya (94), Rivka (76).

The most common name among the townspeople is Moshe - 117 children were named with this name, 4.28% of the total number of births, followed by Avraham (114), David (111), Yosef (105), Chaim (95).
