The sharpest drop in Israel: a 56% drop in the number of apartment construction starts in the city

From the data of the Central Bureau of Statistics published today, it appears that between the months of July 2022 and June 2023, 57,780 apartment construction starts were recorded in Israel, a decrease of 20.3% compared to the same time period the previous year when 72,480 units began to be built in Israel.

The data in the city of Beit Shemesh: in the time period between the months of July 2022 and the last month of June 2023, 1,291 new apartments began to be built in the city, a drop of -56.4% compared to the previous year when 2,961 units began to be built in the city.

Beit Shemesh leads the sharpest and largest decline among the cities of the country in the last year and drops to 10th place in the number of construction starts in Israel.
