The Israel Democracy Institute published the "Yearbook of the ultra-orthodox society in Israel for 2023", the yearbook is based on data from the CBS, government ministries, social insurance and provides dozens of data on ultra-Orthodox society and within it also on the city of Beit Shemesh.

In the table of the ultra-Orthodox population in the settlements, Beit Shemesh is the "third largest ultra-Orthodox city" after the cities of Jerusalem and Bnei Brak with the number of ultra-Orthodox residents.

• According to the population data for 2022: in the city of Beit Shemesh there are approximately 115,398 ultra-Orthodox residents - 75% of the city's residents , a rate of 9.7% of the total ultra-Orthodox in Israel, a jump of 20,776 ultra-Orthodox residents from 2020.
