An 8-year-old boy was hit by a passing vehicle on Sderot Amoraim Street in the Ramat Beit Shemesh 4 neighborhood. Rescue team MDA units gave him first aid on the spot and he was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.

Rescue team volunteers Arel Fintz and Shmuel Mena add: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a pedestrian, an 8-year-old boy lying on the road with a head injury after being hit by a private vehicle.

With the help of other MDA paramedics and medics and a rescue team, we provided him with initial medical aid, including immobilization and dressings, and he was evacuated by an MDA intensive care vehicle in moderate condition for further treatment in the trauma room at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem."
