An electric bicycle rider, about 40 years old, was injured tonight at around 1:00 in a self-inflicted accident on Sderot HaDekal at the corner of Rashi Street in the city of Beit Shemesh.


"Rescue Team" volunteers Elikim Shisha Shimi Reiner and Shimon Lieberman said: "At the scene we saw an electric bicycle rider, a 40-year-old man lying unconscious on the road suffering from bruises on his head and limbs after colliding with a fence while riding. We provided him with medical assistance including immobilization and dressings."

Rescue Union medic Moshe Aryeh Schechter said: "An electric bicycle rider who, according to passers-by, slipped and injured his head. I gave him medical assistance at the scene of the accident."


He was taken to the intensive care unit in serious condition for further treatment at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
