A dramatic Saturday in a settlement near the city: a double car bomb attack in Gush Etzion - about 14 km from Beit Shemesh

Around 23:35 last Saturday night, the first car bomb exploded at a gas station at the Gush Etzion intersection, IDF forces killed the terrorist and three were injured in the incident, one moderately and two lightly.

At 11:40 p.m., a terrorist broke into the settlement of Karmi Tzur in the Etzion block and opened fire in the center of the settlement, the security patrol in the settlement gave a mounted chase and an exchange of fire during which the explosive device exploded in the incendiary vehicle and killed the terrorist.

This morning the security forces arrested 6 suspects of involvement in the attack in the Hebron area. At the same time, the IDF announced a siege in the Hebron area and the nearby town of Halhol. The IDF clarifies that the incident is over and there is no suspicion of a third explosive vehicle that has not yet been located.

In the city of Beit Shemesh, light bombs were seen that the IDF lit in the area during searches around the settlement, which is located about 14 km from the city of Beit Shemesh.
