MDA drives - 'rescue team' were called to Route 38 at the Ramat Beit Shemesh interchange following a report of a car accident.

"Rescue Team" volunteers Shmuel Arieli and Yossi Laufer add: "When we arrived at the scene of the accident, we saw 8 injured people with bruises on their bodies after being hit in a head-on car accident between two private vehicles.

Together with other MDA medics and paramedics, we provided initial medical assistance including immobilization and dressings to a 6-year-old girl with a moderate abdominal injury and seven other victims, including three children in a minor condition, and they were taken to the trauma room at the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem."
