This Sunday, a plan to establish a new neighborhood in the city, for which a name has not yet been chosen (compared to the planned neighborhoods of Rama V-H), and currently called "Beit Shemesh Central District," will be discussed in the Jerusalem District Planning and Building Committee.

The neighborhood is planned along Dan River Boulevard (Route 5) on both sides - between the Old City and Ramat Beit Shemesh and will connect to Rama B at Rival, Baal Hans and Yehuda Hanasi streets.

The plan covers an area of ​​approximately 930 dunams and includes approximately 12,800 residential units, 258,908 square meters for public buildings, 188,160 square meters for employment and 80,639 square meters for commerce, which are planned on a commercial avenue on the Dan River Road.
