Last night, during an activity by the detectives of the central traffic unit in the Jerusalem district in cooperation with the investigation and intelligence system at the Beit Shemesh station, a public bus driver was located in the city while he was picking up passengers in his driving route on a service line.

The traffic detectives approached the driver and informed him to stop driving due to the fear that he was driving under the influence of drugs at the time. The suspected driver (a resident of the north in his 30s) was transferred to the traffic department in Jerusalem for testing, where a positive indication of the use of cocaine was found.

The driver was investigated for driving under the influence of drugs and at the end of his investigation, his license was seized and, as mentioned, a traffic law proceeding was initiated against him accordingly.
