Hundreds of employees of the urban transportation company "Beit Shemesh Express" declared a labor dispute due to the failure to reach agreements with the company's management on the terms of employment of the drivers and maintaining their rights.

Next week, hundreds of the company's drivers are expected to go on strike, which will lead to heavy disruptions in travel in the city of Beit Shemesh and travel to the cities of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Bnei Brak.

The Workers' Committee at Beit Shemesh Express said that: "The establishment of the workers' committee is intended to protect the workers' rights that were promised to all drivers when they were accepted into the company, to be a listening ear for them and to improve their conditions in a way that will lead to long-term job security. In light of the stalemate in negotiations, a strike will begin next week of all the drivers in the company".
